Smoking
Smoking originated in the eighteenth century in the Catalan municipality of Capellades in the province of Barcelona. At that time, the Miquel family was still making rolling paper by hand. In 1868, the Miquel family made great strides with their production. They started their own company in Havana, Cuba. The predecessor of Smoking “El Pino” was born. In 1914, the first packets of rolling paper were produced under the name El Pino. It was not until 1923 that the brand The Smoking was registered. Smoking became the number 1 brand and grew rapidly. In the nineties, the Smoking Deluxe was developed and was a huge success. Various types of rolling paper followed, including Smoking Gold and Blue.
